Kuhn North America
Agriculture Equipment
Versatile, Durable, and Efficient.
Founded in 1828, Kuhn first distributed agricultural implements in the U.S. in the 1960’s. In 2002 Kuhn purchased Knight Manufacturing Company, based in Brodhead, Wisconsin and is now known as Kuhn North America. That merger triggered a substantial increase in the development of new innovations and the expansion of the product lines offered by Kuhn. To achieve very aggressive growth goals, Kuhn North America teamed with CDN not just for industrial design and engineering, but because the CDN’s model shop could quickly build full-scale, fully functional pre-production prototypes.
The Results:
During a decade of strong growth, CDN provided engineering, product styling, and several pre-production prototypes for a number of products, including six different wheel rakes, multiple mergers, spreaders, mixers and a few other machines. An additional benefit for Kuhn was that these products were developed off-site, away from their production operations, maintaining a greater level of confidentiality prior to the release of the products.
